Survival Swim

Your child can learn life-saving skills in weeks, not years. Survival swim taught through gentle, individualized instruction.

What is Survival Swim?

Survival Swim teaches infants and toddlers real, life-saving skills – not songs, toys, or splash play. In one-on-one lessons, children learn to roll onto their backs, float independently, and breathe until help arrives.

Unlike franchise-style group classes, our program is fully customized to your child’s age, ability, and temperament. With gentle, proven methods taught by highly trained instructors, many children master floating in just a few weeks. It’s the safest and most effective way to prepare your child before traditional swim lessons.

How the Survival Swim Program Works

1 on 1 lessons

Personalized, private lessons allow your child to learn at their own pace with full attention from a highly trained instructor.

Float 2 swim method

Using a proven roll-to-float sequence, children learn how to breathe, stabilize, and stay safe in the water.

Confidence & safety

Each child gains the confidence and independence needed to stay calm and safe in real-world water situations.

What to Expect During Lessons

Here’s what the first few weeks of Survival Swim will look and feel like for you and your child.

Your child will work one-on-one with their instructor, with brief separation from parents to help them focus and build trust. Lessons are short and consistent, which allows children to retain skills quickly through gentle repetition. Every child progresses at their own pace, and our instructors adjust each session to meet their emotional and developmental needs. After every lesson, you’ll receive a quick update so you always know how your child is doing and what to expect next.

What Parents Are Saying

This is our 2nd child at Swim Kids. Great experience again. Every instructor was wonderful and attentive. Our 2 year old began lessons crying all the way through and now can swim on her own and has so much fun in the pool.
